After 7 years of working in public and corporate accounting, Stephen has joined Rickert Financial Group as a Financial Advisor.  In his previous roles as a Senior Accountant, he was a valued member of investment and external reporting teams responsible for the preparation of external financial statements.  He also acquired valuable experience completing corporate and personal tax returns, excise sales returns, and corporate year end reviews and audit engagements.  He is very well versed in personal and corporate tax laws and understands how they relate to investing and insurance planning for individuals and small businesses.  Stephen has a strong work ethic, is highly motivated, and has an innate ability to “read the numbers.”  The combination of his outgoing personality, friendly demeanour and relevant work experience make him a valued addition to the financial planning team at Rickert Financial Group.  Stephen is a graduate of the Lazaridis School of Business and Economics at Wilfrid Laurier University – completing an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration degree, with a double major in Finance and Accounting.  Shortly after his university graduation, Stephen earned his Chartered Professional Accountant designation.

Outside of the office, Stephen stays active by working out, playing golf, and skiing.  As an avid sports fan, he enjoys and regularly plans trips to arenas and football fields with his friends to see his teams in action.  He also enjoys taking in the outdoors and spending time at the family cottage in Muskoka with his wife, Brittany.
